Special Interests
  • Heritage Band and Choral Camp

Attention: Fifth through 12th grade.  Here is a tremendous opportunity. You can kick off the school year with band camp. Heritage Band and Choral Camp has some of the best instructors of music that I know and is in a wonderful protected environment.

For beginners (5- 12th grade), this is a great way to get started. You may never have played before and can begin at this camp. It could be your foot in the door to see what its like and get an introduction to band. Similar to tasting ice cream for the first time, you get to have a lick!!!

For advanced players (5-12th grade), this is a fun way to get an eye opener to some top notch band sounds. There are actually four levels bands at this camp and lots of performances by the faculty. You will be motivated like you won’t believe. It will be an exciting week for you. This is one of the best band camps in the country.

Printed Music
  • David E Smith Publications
Sacred Music for a wide variety of instrument combinations and  a large selection of titles .  I especially like the Monty Budahl saxophone trios: Leaning on the Everlasting Arms (129308) and Power in the Blood (129304).
  • Jantz Music
The solos, duets and mixed quartets are a special treasure for saxophonists. Of the three, the duets are my favorite. Buy the whole set each time you purchase a title.  Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us is a great way to be introduced to the beautiful duet sound.  Jesus Led Me All the Way is an often used duet in my repertoire.
  • Pinner Publications
Sacred Music for string instrument combinations. Cello solos work great for alto or baritone saxophone. I especially like O Love That Will Not Let Me Go.
  • Wisconsin School Music Association
    Contest music lists
  • JW Pepper
    secular and sacred
  • BJU Press
High quality sacred arrangements. The four or more  series is a special help for saxophone quartets.  Come Thou Fount  is a favorite of mine.
  • The National Association for Music Education
